Acceleware Launches New CUDA Professional Services Offering
Posted by Charlee Forbrigger on Wednesday March 04 2009 @ 10:32AM EST

CALGARY, AB, March 4, 2009 – Acceleware® Corp. (TSX-V: AXE), a leading developer of high performance computing applications, today announced a new CUDA-based professional services offering, designed to help organizations rapidly implement GPU based High Performance Computing (HPC) software projects. These new CUDA-based services, including consulting, training and quick start packages, will provide expertise for parallel code optimization projects and customization for Acceleware’s existing products.

Acceleware has been developing commercial GPU applications for over 5 years and CUDA-accelerated software products for over 2 years. As a pioneer in the GPU computing industry, the Acceleware Professional Services team has a unique library of tools and solvers, and experience to draw upon to help insure that GPU computing projects using CUDA are delivered with greater certainty and within tight deadlines.

“The 10x-100x performance benefit from using NVIDIA’s GPUs has companies in a broad selection of industries clamouring to port their applications to the massively parallel programming model of the GPU. These companies, in fields such as seismic exploration, financial simulation or medical imaging can now augment their staff with Acceleware’s seasoned team of CUDA software developers to more rapidly bring their applications to market”, said Andy Keane, general manager, GPU Computing at NVIDIA.

Successful HPC solutions are the product of a number of technologies combined together to create an integrated and efficient platform. Acceleware’s areas of expertise include: • Parallelizing the hard problems • Accelerating the whole problem to provide meaningful, total run-time acceleration • Programming languages and 3rd party tool experience • Scalability

“Acceleware’s Professional Services are now enabling customers to leverage our CUDA-based parallelization, GPU optimization and cluster technology expertise and to add customized features to our existing acceleration products,” said Dr. Michal Okoniewski, Acceleware Interim President and CEO. “With over five years of providing commercial GPU solutions, Acceleware is clearly the most experienced team to address the industry’s growing demand for parallelization services.”

Acceleware’s Professional Services Program is designed to complement the power of multi-core/GPU solutions and to assist customers in planning, designing, implementing and managing their HPC projects.
